Garden Creations NZ started in 1999 as a part time business producing waterwheels.

It all started by asking my mum a simple question ...

"What would you like for christmas ?"
"Build me a beautiful waterwheel for my garden !" was the reply.

A beautiful garden complimented with an amazing pond was begging for a waterfeature.
The proto type 4 foot Waterwheel was delivered on Christmas day.
Following great interest for this new Waterwheel waterfeature I decided to refine my design for a more efficient waterwheel and produce a quality 3 foot Waterwheel.

By the end of the 1st year 12 waterwheels were sold simply by word of mouth.
I then hooked up with some of the larger garden centers for greater sales.
Soon after came the refined 4 foot waterwheel and then the 2 foot waterwheel.

Having a 2, 3 and 4 foot range of waterwheels seemed to cover the range for a short while.
To add into the family of waterwheels we introduced a 2 1/2 foot waterwheel.
This in-between size soon turned out to be quite popular also.

As far back as I remember,
( 4 years old ) I was always building something, from tree huts to trolleys and toy boats.
Always creating something from nothing.

Some how I ended up on Romper Room with one of my creations at age 7
(I`m showing my age now). Who remembers "Romper Room" ?

So here we are at the end of 2007 with a wide range and a solid knowledge base from years of marine and general engineering fitter/turner & welding/fabrication.

Interesting and creative events have happened over the years for us.
Creating all sorts of weird and wonderfull things. These have seen me travel overseas many times to display these creations.

Some extravagant creations were costumes. Moving body parts controlled with electric motors and hydraulics also cooling fans for the wearer. Used for sponsored parties and corporate events. Great fun on Halloween.
